firstly, please find attached a third letter on specific problems with the ECOMET/ECMWF data access and pricing policies.

Secondly, as you may already have been informed by the ECOMET Chief Executive Officer, the representatives of the European Commission Information Society Directorate-General during the closing discussion of the Public Sector Information Group meeting held in Luxem- bourg on 23 April 2004 expressed a wish that the state and private sector of the European meteorological community should enter into discussions on the problems areas highlighted during the meeting.

In spite of the disappointing end of the 1st ECOMET/AEDUE meeting held in 28 May 2002 due to the unexpected position by some parties not to accept the minutes drafted and signed by the nominated secretaries Colin Cuthbert and Daniel Soderman, PRIMET believes that a 2nd meeting should indeed be arranged, ideally in early autumn 2004, at a location to be agreed.
