Milano, 25 September 2005

Dear Mr. Eliassen,

On behalf of the Primet Board let me express my sincere appreciation for your letter dated 23 September 2005.

There is no doubt that any possible improvement in the relationship between ECOMET and PRIMET must be pursued with the maximum of due diligence. For this reason we hold the contents of your letter in very serious consideration, in particular taking into account that the issues concerning the legal scrutiny are complex and closely linked to each other.

As you know certain procedures adopted by your Economic Interest Grouping are subject to severe consideration on our part, even tough, as always, exercised in the spirit of constructive criticism towards the growth of what until now we could call our "European meteorological house in common".

On the basis of your abovementioned letter, it is our understanding that in order to resolve the relative issues in dispute and consequently improve working relations, PRIMET is expected to provide relative detailed documentation to be subject to legal scrutiny.

We trust that you would understand that Primet would require some time to be able to prepare the necessary documentation in the detail required, given the course of action that we have chosen to resolve the issue.

We anticipate to having prepared and fulfilled the required necessary documentation for legal scrutiny by the end of the year, giving a possible meeting in the early new year of 2006.

We trust this meets with your acknowledgment.

Best regards,

Antonio Verga
PRIMET Secretary General
