PSI Alliance agreed in Prauge
At a meeting held in Prague on 23rd January 2008 in the presence of Mr J Hernanez-Ros,
Head of Unit, Digital Libraries & Public Sector Information of DG EC Commision and attended by delegates from a range of commercial sectors from all over Europe, it was agreed in principle to form the PSI Alliance. The Alliance will be a pan European, cross sector, federal Association to be formed under Belgian law and to be based in Brussels. The Alliance will be formally launched at a meeting to be held in Brussels in May/June 2008. It will work for more equitable and cost effective access to Public Service Information (PSI) throughout Europe and across all sectors of the economy.
